On Saturday night we headed over to our friends freshly reno'd condo for dinner and drinks. Their place has been under construction for what seems like years, so the end of contractor headaches and living in chaos was an excuse to celebrate!
Dinner was the traditional French-Canadian holiday dish Tourtière (the hostess Hope is from Quebec) and many, many homemade deserts. Not going to lie, I was pretty impressed by all baked goods because I'm not the most talented baker. A few weeks ago I attempted to make chocolate chip cookies from scratch and they didn't quite turn out. How one can ruin chocolate chip cookies I don't really know, but it's something I managed to do!
Between all the holiday music I listened too this weekend (She and Him is still my fave album) and putting up my Christmas decorations, I'm definitely getting excited (but am not quite ready) for the 25th!
