Monochromatic Textures

Jan 17, 2011

Bits and pieces from my winter wardrobe. There is something about this colour/non colour that I love. The textures counteract the starkness of the grey.

  1. I completely know what you mean. Usually, (in summer, fall, spring) I'm a walking, ticking color bomb. I can't get enough of bold hues, etc. But there's something so delicate, pretty and appropriate about a subtle, monochrome, texture-drive winter wardrobe that just resonates with me. I love the gray and sequins (I wore a scarf that's similar today!) And, yay for doritos! (ha!)

  3. Textured greys are my #1 obsession for this fall - knit, suede, patent, even the little kitten I found in the alleyway (unintentional but coordinating nonetheless), and I really like the way you've integrated the silver/shimmer/shine into your palette. Those hiking booties are especially sumptuous - wherever did you get them?
